This project consists of creating a new product that will be based on one of the most requested products that is currently being used at present. The basic idea behind this project is to create a product that can easily meet the needs of the user and at the same time it will be able to reduce the environmental pollution by cutting down the amount of plastic and other paper products required. This product will be created with the use of SolidWorks 2010. The main purpose of this project is to create a product that will become a gift to the people of Greece that will also reduce the amount of garbage that will be found on the streets.
The SolidWorks project is a fully functional, student-designed robot that can carry an item up to 5 pounds. The robot can travel through a variety of environments, including highly contoured, tight spaces. Its action is both mechanically and electronically controlled, and its structure is durable and simple. Team members and the project director will be trained to implement and adapt the robot and they will be responsible for the correct implementation of the robot. The components of the robot include sensors, wheels, gears, electric motor, gear reduction, and servo motors.
The SolidWorks team plans to design a more complex version of the robot. Their plan is to expand the robot's capabilities, including changing the way it wheels, or adding a lifting mechanism, and increasing the capacity of the robot. They plan to redesign the robot's body to make it more flexible and stronger. The SolidWorks team plans to test the robot in their design lab, such as in a real environment. The team will also have to be ready to perform the experiments that they will need to perform for real to ensure the project success.
